POLITICS STATEMENT
What we believe
Politically we lean toward the CONSERVATIVE side of the political scale because we strongly believe that this best reflects our positions on various topics. That having been stated, we support the Republican party, but also find failings with them as well on some issues.
It’s truly amazing that two people of different political leanings can look at the same issue, both see a different meaning, then argue bout it.
Take the issue of the poor or homeless as an example.
A Liberal, or Progressive as they like being called today because Liberal is a bad word I guess, will look at the issue, and just want to throw money at them. They need MONEY under the guise of “help.” Money will make it all better, and who cares how they spend it.
Someone like this we define as a non-producer.
A Conservative will have the same pity for that individual but want government not to pay them to remain poor or homeless in the form of a taxpayer subsidy in order for them to vote for my party, but that maybe government should set up job training centers so that these people can learn some skill and get jobs in order to become fellow productive members of society.
A number of years ago, Mr. Romualdo had a back and forth on the internet via email with a person purported to be a psychiatrist. Whether he was or not cannot be confirmed, as anyone can claim to be something they are not on the Internet without fear of being found in many cases.
He was asked to prove to the good doctor how he could say that “Liberals have a mental disorder.”
Mr. Romualdo just covered a few points (in more detail than provided here) which included the following.
They are for abortion, which I consider to be the murder of unborn children who are innocent, yet will support the murderers “right” not to be executed for killing someone else.
They are for the taking away arms from the average citizen even though it is protected by the Constitution of the United States, and that therefore by default allows only criminals to be armed.
They are for giving public assistance to able bodied people in order not to work, but deny the same assistance to those who have PAID taxes for that same assistance when they are down on their luck, and a few more.
The reply email came back and the psychiatrist said this direct quote . . .
“You know, you’re right. But I’m not changing my mind.”
Does that statement, in all honesty, represent a person who is sane, or one who has a serious mental disorder? YOU be the judge.
